Doctors can prescribe and advise over the phone. We therefore now offer the choice of a face to face or telephone appointment with a doctor throughout the usual daily GP clinics. These are for both On the Day & Book in Advance appointments. The receptionist will ask you which type of consultation you prefer.

In addition, we also offer daily ‘Book On the Day’ telephone appointments with our doctors between 12:00 – 12:30. During this telephone consultation, if the doctor feel you need to be seen, they may ask you to come to the surgery to see them.

If you would like a “Book on the Day” 12:00-12:30 telephone appointment, please phone the surgery on 01344 773418. Please be aware that the receptionists will need to ask what your appointment is for.

Please be aware that telephone and face to face consultations take place during morning and afternoon surgeries as well as between 12:00-12:30. The Doctors will do their very best to call you at your allotted time, so please ensure that you are available to take their call.

We would also ask for your understanding if your call is a little early or later than your appointment time. This is due to clinics running early or late, depending upon the medical needs of the patients during the morning clinic.

You will need to make sure you have good reception and are able to answer the call straight away when the GP calls you.
